Concert #5 Sunday, 7:30PM, June 12, 2016
The Oklahoma City Symphonic Band will join the Oklahoma Community Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Irvin Wagner, in their final concert, outdoors at the Pavilion of Oklahoma Christian University, on Sunday, June 12th.
The orchestra will present Leroy Anderson favorites, Belle of the Ball and Old McDonald Had a Farm as well as the Light Calvary Overture, Thunder and Lightning March, Radetsky March, and the familiar melodies of Hooked on Classics. The band will be heard playing medleys from West Side Story, and Star Wars as well as John Phillip Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever. The groups will join together to present Armed Forces Salute and America the Beautiful.
Please join us on Sunday, June 12th, at 7:30 pm. at the Pavilion, near the clock tower, at Oklahoma Christian University 2501 E. Memorial Rd., in Edmond. There will be no charge for this delightful concert.
